JJs Link Exchange

Can I exchange links with JJs Link Exchange?

Unfortunately no. That is not how our program works.

We have around 5000 members that have created a link directory page (using our software) on their website, once this link directory has been added and activated the members are allowed to exchange links with one another through their JJs Link Exchange control panel.

You can register for this free link exchange service here:

Can I use your service with blogspot.com, blogger.com, or wordpress.com websites?

Our link publishing software requires that your web hosting server allow remote calls from your server to our database. This usually means having cURL, fopen(), or similar functions available.

Unfortunately blogspot.com, blogger.com, wordpress.com, and similar websites do not have these functions enabled. Thus our software will not work on these site(s).

What should I do if I get an error message saying "my website is not indexed by google"?

In this case please contact us here:

Please provide us with your account log-in email address and the domain name you want to add. We can adjust a setting in your account that will allow your domain to use our service.

How do I activate the service and validate my links page?

After you add your website details successfully you will need to follow the instructions in the installation code button to activate our service. This will require creating a new web page on your site and adding our code to the source code of that new page. By adding our code to this new page our software will automatically create a new links directory on your site whereby you can exchange links with other JJs Link Exchange users. Please note that there are a few requirements for this new page:

1. The new page you create must support one of the following 4 programming languages: ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Perl/CGI. You will probably need to contact your web hosting provider to determine which programming language your web hosting plan supports. Please note that our software is not available in html or javascript format.

2. After determining which programming language you can use you will need to copy and paste that installation code into the source code of the new page on your site. Also when you save the new page you need to make sure you do so with the correct file extension:

PHP =.php (for example, your page should be named links.php) ASP =.asp (for example, your page should be named links.asp) ASP.NET =.aspx (for example, your page should be named links.aspx) Perl/CGI =.pl (for example, your page should be named links.pl)

The page will not work correctly with the .htm or .html extension unless you modify your server settings.

3. Your web hosting provider also must allow remote calls from your web server to our database. For Apache/PHP servers this means having cURL or fopen() enabled. Please contact your web hosting provider to check on this.

4. After you create your new links page correctly you can view it on the web and see if our software is showing. If you have done so successfully you will see a text table with some category names. However if the page is blank, or the source code is showing itself, then something is not right. Either something was done incorrectly or one of the above requirements is not supported by your web host.

5. Once the new links page is working you will need to create a link to it from your Homepage.

After doing all these steps you can activate the service by clicking on the Validate Links Page link in your Control Panel.

Can I add your installation code to an existing links page?

Although this is possible it is not recommended. To do so you would need to be experienced with html coding and know where to add the installation code in the source code of your links page. If you attempt to do this and it creates problems on your existing links page unfortunately we cannot troubleshoot the problem. All we can do is recommend removing our installation code and copying/pasting it into a new page instead.

Why are there links in my link directory that I did not approve of?

These links are actually sponsored links and are allowed and placed by our software on the link directories of our free link exchange account members. Such sponsored links help keep our service free of charge and gives you access to our network of around 5000 members. We understand the content/subject of these links may be less than ideal. However in general they are placed at least 3 levels deep into your site and would be rarely viewed by anyone. They are mostly for the benefit of search engine robots. These sponsored links are also agreed to upon registering for the service:

"In return for using our service, you agree to allow certain sponsored text links to be added to your link directory in the appropriate category. You may select not to have these test links added if you upgrade to our advanced plan."

How can I use your program with a Wordpress blog website?

Unfortunately the WordPress blogging software will not allow our code to work, you will need to setup a new blank page on your site "outside" of the WordPress software.

Using a FTP program or file manager (in your web hosting control panel software, like cpanel or plesk) you can create a new page. For example you can name it "links.php" and copy and paste the PHP version of the installation code from your JJs Link Exchange Control Panel into this blank page. Then save this new page/file your public_html (or other web viewable) folder and/or upload the file to your web hosting server.

After you create your new links page correctly you can view it on the web and see if our software is showing. You can go to:

http://www.yourdomain.com/links.php

where yourdomain.com is your actual domain name.

If you have done so successfully you will see a text table with some category names. However if the page is blank, or the source code is showing itself, then something is not right. Either something was done incorrectly or one of the above requirements is not supported by your web host.

Finally, place a link on your homepage pointing to http://www.yourdomain.com/links.php

Then you should be able to validate your listing in your JJs Link Exchange control panel.

How can I use your program with a shopping cart website?

Unfortunately most shopping cart softwares will not allow our code to work, you will need to setup a new blank page on your site "outside" of the shopping cart software.

However you will need to confirm your web hosting provider supports PHP and not another programming language offered: ASP, ASP.NET, Perl/CGI

How can I add your installation code to a .htm or .html page?

Unfortunately our codes are dynamic in nature and so will not work in html alone. If you web hosting provider supports one of the 4 programming languages offered (PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, or Perl) then it may be possible to parse the code in an html page. You will need to check with your web hosting provider specifically to see if this is possible and how it can be implemented.

For example, if your web host supports PHP on an Apache/Unix web server then you can add a line of code to your .htaccess file that will allow your html page(s) to parse PHP. The line of code you need to add to the .htaccess file is:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .html .htm
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php .html .htm

If you are unsure how to modify your .htaccess file please contact your web hosting provider for further assistance.

Are there any costs to join JJs Link Exchange?

What is JJs Link Exchange?

JJs Link Exchange is a Link Exchange Directory that allows members to exchange links with hundreds or thousands of other members quickly and easily. Each JJs Link Exchange member creates a directory page on their web site where the links to their link trade partners will be located. Members are able to select which sites they will link to and receive links from and those links are automatically added to the directory pages.
How will registering with JJs Link Exchange help increase my web site's search engine ranking and link popularity?

When you become a member of JJs Link Exchange, you will receive a link in our member directory. Thousands of our members can select to link to your web site quickly and easily. This essentially gives you the potential for thousands of inbound links to your site. Most search engines consider inbound links to be a top factor in determining a web site's search engine position.

How soon after I register with JJs Link Exchange will I have incoming links pointing to my site?

Once you register and add your web site, you will be able to go through our directory of web sites and select the member that you want to exchange links with. Once the other members approve your web site, a link exchange is automatically created.
I've activated my site in the JJs Link Exchange directory but Google does not show any links to my site, why is this?

Although links to your site are instantly added to our other member web sites after they approve you, it can take up to 2-8 weeks for search engines such as Google to re-index these pages and show your link.
Will using JJs Link Exchange improve my Google Page Rank?

JJs Link Exchange cannot guarantee that any sites using our service will see an increased PageRank but Google does use link popularity as one factor in determining PageRank and JJs Link Exchange will certainly increase your link popularity.
I've joined other link exchanges, what makes Gotlinks.com different?

GotLinks.com is different because we do not provide "instant" links for members and we require that members request and approve link trades. This makes our service a legitimate link exchange service in the view of Google and other search engines.

Other link exchange services that claim to provide hundreds or thousands of "instant" links will most likely get your web site banned by search engines. In addition, we also require that any web site in our directory be indexed by Google so you can be sure there are no banned or illegal web sites in the directory.

Our software allows you to select which categories and web sites you want to exchange links with while other services require that you exchange links with all their members. Exchanging links with relevant web sites is known to search engines rankings improve rankings.
Is JJs Link Exchange considered a "Link Farm"?

No, JJs Link Exchange is a member directory which is edited by humans and which allows members to exchange links with one another by requesting and approving link trades.
